The Chicago night nurses and nannies of Let Mommy Sleep are under the direction of Postpartum Doula Erin Thomas- Walker. Erin’s journey to become a postpartum doula began after the birth of her first child, which dramatically changed her life.

Her personal experiences with various challenges such as preeclampsia, lactation, pumping, colic, milk sensitivities, and pelvic floor dysfunction profoundly shaped her understanding of motherhood and overnight infant care. Erin's mission is rooted in the belief that every family deserves compassionate and knowledgeable overnight newborn care during the transformative journey of welcoming a new baby.

Certified Experienced Postpartum Doulas

Our Postpartum Doulas receive Pediatric approved continuing education to remain up to date on all safe sleep practices. All Night Nannies and Nurses are Cribs for Kids Safe Sleep Ambassadors, CPR/First Aide Certified, and NAPS Certified.

What if I deliver my baby early? Will my Postpartum Doula be available?
It’s no problem if you deliver your baby early. Your Postpartum Doula will be reserved prior to your due date.
Should we provide a bed for our Postpartum Doula?
No, your Postpartum Doula doesn’t need a bed. Let Mommy Sleep Chicago provides awake care, therefore we do not sleep while providing overnight infant care. A comfortable chair is just fine.
Will our Postpartum Doula teach us how to care for our baby ?
Yes, your Postpartum Doula will teach you how to care for your newborn infant. Your Postpartum Doula will provide detailed notes on your baby’s movements throughout the night, as well as educate you regarding your baby’s needs and preferences.
