Newborn Care Certificate Class, Jan 11

Join us on Jan 11 as we teach the Fairfax Co. Adult Education Newborn and Postpartum Care Class!  While it’s taught in VA, this class is open to anyone in Maryland, DC and beyond. Students receive a Certificate from the county upon succesful completion of the class and the material is all evidence based. The curriculum follows American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and recommendations.

Fairfax County Adult Continuing education in partnership with Let Mommy Sleep, offers this 1-day, evidence-based course. The certificate class is for expecting parents, newborn nannies, Home Health Aides, LPN’s, CNA’s and anyone caring for babies and their parents privately or with home care agencies. Topics include: diapering, swaddling, feeding (breast and bottle), postpartum care of parents, minimizing SIDS risks, safety and more.
